Day by day printed diary book with handwritten account for most days. Tells of cargoes, of ships as they arrive and depart, of business dealings with Boston and New York, and correspondence with the Bacons and others. Notes articles bought and sold, quotes prices and mentions tariff. Many personal items such as his wife's health, his housekeeping expenses, trouble with native servants, are interspersed with his business deals. He also mentions conditions in the United States due to the War.
